Proctor sits just southwest of Duluth, above West Duluth, where the Carlson family founded its first plumbing and heating company in 1905. Today Carlson Duluth Company serves Proctor homeowners and businesses from our shop on Venture Ave, with union-trained craftsmen and a licensed Master Plumber, Jeremy Carlson, leading the company.
A community with history in its houses
Proctor grew up around the railroad, and like much of the area it has many homes that have been heated, re-plumbed and updated by several generations of owners. That kind of house often has a mix of old and new: a newer furnace on original ductwork, a boiler past its prime, galvanized water lines alongside newer copper or PEX, or an old sewer line under the yard.
