How It Started
Our story begins with A.P. Green, a Swedish immigrant whose name became Carlson when he arrived in America. A handyman with an entrepreneurial streak, he ran a general store and the West Duluth Post Office before he discovered the growing plumbing trade in Winnipeg, and sent his eldest son, Walter, to learn it.
In 1905, Walter and his brothers Cliff, August, Art, Glen and Albert founded Carlson Bros. Plumbing and Heating of West Duluth. The construction boom of the early 1900s built the company's reputation for reliable plumbing and heating installations.
Four Generations
Walter Carlson and his five brothers found Carlson Bros. Plumbing and Heating of West Duluth.
The family forms smaller independent companies, including Carlson Duluth Co. under Cliff Carlson, which grows into one of the largest in the area.
Carlson Duluth Co. works on major projects, including federal hydroelectric dams and military installations.
Elmer (Curly) Carlson expands into plumbing and heating construction with A.W. Kuettel Co.; on his retirement, his sons re-establish Carlson Bros.
Craig Carlson and his son Jeremy re-establish Carlson Duluth Co., the company you call today.
Jeremy Carlson, a licensed Master Plumber, leads the company as its sole owner from our shop at 4415 Venture Ave.

Jeremy Carlson is a licensed Master Plumber with a degree in Business Administration, and he's active in the PHCC, the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association. He leads a team of union-trained, highly skilled craftsmen who handle projects of any size.
From our shop and state-of-the-art service and repair department on Venture Ave, we provide plumbing, heating and cooling for homes and businesses across Duluth and the Twin Ports, from a single faucet to a full mechanical room.

Our crew volunteered on a Saturday to install a replacement furnace and a new air conditioner for the Lincoln Park Children and Family Collaborative.
